1. Visit a playground in Tuscaloosa

Some of our favorites are Mason's Place at Sokul Park, Randall Family Park, and Harmon Park.  All three have covered pavillions to cool off in the shade as well as great playgrounds and public restrooms.

2. Splash at Hurricane Creek or Lake Lurleen

We love both of these to splash and hike.

3. Celebrate Independence Day with Celebration on the River

It's such an exciting display.  You can watch from the ampitheatre, almost anywhere downtown or even across the river for beautiful views.

4. Go to the library!

The Tuscaloosa Public Library is hosting some amazing programs this summer.  You can also check out Moundville LIbrary, Reform, and Carrolton.  HERE is our list of summer reading programs.

5. Enjoy live music at the Plaza & Midtown Shopping Center

Friday nights you can enjoy "Live at the Plaza."  There will be food trucks, live music, and fun!  Wednesdays in July you can enjoy "Summer Nights" at Midtown Village Shopping Center.  They have a great line up!

6. Take a hike in Tuscaloosa

For a leisurely hike, the river walk is perfect.

7. Go on a mural hunt in T-town

One of my favorites is on the strip at the University of Alabama!

8. Take a bike ride in Tuscaloosa

We love riding bikes on the Northport side of the river walk.

9. Get wet at Palmore Splash Pad!

This is a family favorite!

10. See a movie under the stars

Saturday nights for a limited time, you can enjoy Movies in the Park happening at sunset at Government Plaza.   You can also drive to Guin, AL for a retro drive-in movie theatre experience.
