Earn Prizes while Encouraging Summer Reading Lists

Keeping children engaged and entertained during summer vacation can be a challenge at times.  Thankfully summer reading programs help caregivers encourage a summer reading list while offering incentives for children who complete their personal challenge.  There are a variety of summer reading programs available to families this summer.  

Tuscaloosa Public Library
The TPL Summer Reading Program is underway.  CLICK HERE to register.  You can choose from Main branch, Weaver Bolden, Brown, and the Northport Civic Center to see performers.  There will also be weekly storytimes, happy camper club, Legoland , and gaming for all.  Summer Reading isn't just for children, check out their adult programs like Monday Makers as well.




Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program

Chuck E. Cheese Reward Calendars
You can download the Reward calendars for multiple ways to encourage your child.  CLICK HERE for the reading reward calendar.  Turn it into your local Chuck E. Cheese for 10 play points.

Pizza Hut Camp Book-It!
This program is open to students in PreK-6th grade (ages 4-12).  Use the digital dashboard to set reading goals, log reading, and reward children.  When goals are met the reward is a personal pan pizza!

Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge
Create an account on Scholastic's Home Base, then as your child reads they unlock more fun games and digital content.  They can also enter to win a bag full of Scholastic books.

Ollies Bargain Outlet
This isn't a summer reading program, but you can buy cheap books at Ollie's Bargain Outlet all year long.  Check out our IG post below.
