"Tuscaloosa’s One Place, A Family Resource Center (TOP) is thrilled to announce the upcoming free event, Fathers in the Park on Saturday, June 10. This special event aims to honor and celebrate the vital role of fathers and father figures in our community, while providing an opportunity for families to bond and create lasting memories.
Fathers in the Park will take place at Snow Hinton Park in Tuscaloosa from 9 AM to 1 PM. The event promises an exciting and fun-filled day for fathers, children, and families of all ages. Attendees can look forward to a wide range of activities and entertainment, including a water slide bounce house, games, food, music and more.
'Spending quality time with your loved ones strengthens the bonds that matter most,” said Roosevelt Jackson, Director of CHAMPS Program at TOP. “Fathers in the Park welcomes all families and strives to strengthen parent engagement with their children.'
Fathers in the Park is coordinated through TOP’s CHAMPS program (Changing Habits and Making Parents Stronger). CHAMPS helps parents establish and strengthen positive parental interaction by providing education to improve parenting skills, relationship skills, and economic stability through workforce development and other employment services.
