Tuscaloosa Public Library Introduces Juvenile Non Fiction Labels

A Game Changer for Young Readers

By Stephanie Horton, MK Tuscaloosa Publisher February 15, 2023

Books are one of my loves.  There's God, family, community, and books!  I love them and the literary adventures they deliver.  In high school and in college I was a library aid.  My mother was a librarian at my elementary school, so I guess it was an inherited love.  I share this, simply to let you know why my recent discovery in the Tuscaloosa Public Library Main Branch's Juvenile Non Fiction section was so exciting.  The Dewey Decimal System in the juvenile nonfiction section has been added to the shelves!  This is going to help your young reader while they look for their next favorite book or something to assist with a school project.  *Just a side note, you can also ask one of the kind librarians.  They are full of knowledge and will help you in your search for books.*

We are so thankful for our amazing library!  It is truly a community treasure.  Look out for upcoming events such as storytimes, Tiny Scientists Storytime, Legoland, craft times, Techy Tweens, and Saturday with the Symphony!  These events are fun for young and old alike.
