About a week ago, Purchase With A Purpose announced, "As you know, we are at capacity in our current space at Pastor's and we are excited to announce that God is calling us to a shop of our very own, a dream 9.5 years in the making. These 3 years of managing Pastor's have been the training ground we needed and I am thankful that God called us to slow growth...We are thankful to Pastor for taking a chance on us 4 years ago when we asked for booth space in his newly opened shop. Thankful he invited us to expand our products throughout the shop, allowed us to run with our idea to add secondhand space during the pandemic, and to transition to a volunteer model. I used to joke that I enjoyed the lack of supervision. The truth is that he allowed me the freedom to run the shop how God called me to and I could not be more thankful for that gift he gave us when we didn't have the resources to open a shop of our own. Together, we accomplished our mission to fund missions.
It is bittersweet to close this chapter, but we are excited to step into the next. PWAP turns 10 this year and I turn 40. In scripture, 40 is the number of testing and triumph. "But He knows the way that I take. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold." Job 23:10."
God has been moving and working, and as of April 14 PWAP posted; "It's a done deal. Coming May 13th, 2023: Purchase with a Purpose Shop!!!

Located at 2231 Veterans Memorial Parkway, directly across from ACA, it is 3 times our current space, naturally divided into two halves for fair trade and secondhand plus a workroom and more. As we prayed, the landlord has a heart for missions and is PWAP shopper...
Our goal is a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 13th, from 10AM to 2PM, so stay tuned for more details and plan to knock out all your Mother's Day shopping that day.
Our volunteers get the first peek inside next week and then we will take you on a grand video tour too.

As you know, we try to be very frugal and transparent so that as much as possible funds missions. Our goal is to do what is necessary to get moved in and open for shopping and then make improvements as we go. Our upfront costs to open are estimated to be $10,000 and include our security deposit, first month's rent, professional cleaning, POS system, paint and repairs, and more.
