Our List of Favorite's in Downtown Tuscaloosa

1. Children's Hands On Museum of Tuscaloosa

There are three floors of fun to explore!  When you walk in the door, you are greeted by the kind and knowledgeable CHOM staffers.  You can start your visit off with a step back in time at the General Store, Grandma's Attic, Choctaw Indian village, and more.  

2.  UA Museum of Natural History

At the Alabama Museum of Natural History exhibits such as Discovering Alabama (on the first floor), Dr. Smith's Wagon, Hodges Meteorite, Cretaceous Monsters of Alabama, Rocks and Minerals From Around The World, and more.  

3. Paul W. Bryant Museum

Many football game days, they will host former UA players for autographs.  There is no fee for signatures, and the museum entrance fee is only $5. 

4. Warner Transportation Museum

Located in the historic Queen City Park, the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum has exhibits, educational opportunity, and seasonal exhibits that share the story of the Tuscaloosa local and regional history and natural resources.

This is such a wonderful place to let your imagination run wild.  Owner- Joanna Lemmon wears many hats of mom, wife, art teacher, artist, and more.  

7. Stroll along the River Walk 

You can also find a nice playground that was donated by Nick's Kids Foundation.

There are so many fun boutiques, UA merch stores, and more.  Some of our favorites are S.W.A.G. Boutique, Midtown Village, UA Supe Store

11. Get your PJ's Coffee  or Rita's (both under the same roof and owned by former UA football player Bill Getchell) for a little pick me up before kick off.

12. Mo'Bay Beignet Company is definitely making Tuscaloosa sweeter!  Stop by for some great sweets.

13.  For Boba Tea fans, you must try Boba Mania!  We can't get enough taro milk tea!

A true University of Alabama gem.  

*If you are in town early enough, you can stop by Butler Field and hear the Million Dollar Band warm up.
