Ladylines Art Garage

Art time Any time

By Stephanie Horton, MK Tuscaloosa Publisher August 23, 2021

Today, I had the joy of meeting Ladylines Art Garage owner Joanna Lemmon.  She is exactly what I thought she would be after when reading about her spectacular family venue all about art and creating beauty.  She is full of joy, kindness, and grace.  Her warmth will encourage you and bring a smile to your face.  I asked her to share a bit about the Art Garage in her own words, and this is what she said.

"The Art Garage is an art studio for children.  We opened in August 2020. We were blessed to open the studio without taking on debt. We feel it was because of the support of the community. We launched a kickstarter campaign in February 2020 and exceeded our goal primarily based on many families pre-ordering a family membership to the Art Garage.  Families now can let their children create and explore art, take classes, and enjoy our studio because we are supported by family memberships and paying customers.  You do not have to have a membership in order to come let your kiddos create. We are happy for you to come visit us and we think you will find yourselves coming back over and over again.  We also provide adult community classes, camps, special events especially during the holidays, birthday parties, field trips, and so much more. We are honored to serve our community and so humbled to be a part of many families' weekly schedules."

I highly recommend taking your children to the Art Garage for a  burst of imagination creation.  The classes offered are perfect for after school activities or homeschooling families.  She offers times for both. Check out the Art Garage website for more information on membership, classes offered, and a full schedule of events.  Also follow along on the MK Tuscaloosa events page for a listing of the classes and events offered at the Art Garage.
