Top 10 Things I Love Most About the Tuscaloosa Area!

This is not all of them...there is just so much to love around T-town.

By Stephanie Horton July 11, 2021

I just love the Tuscaloosa Area!  There is so much to enjoy as a family, and so much to love.  This beautiful city is full of family friendly activities, meeting and eating spots.  You can find free things to keep your children entertained on a daily basis along with energized pay for play spaces as well.  This is not a complete list of my favorite spots in T-town, but these ten are my A-List.  What would you add to this list?  I'm already planning a second favorites edition.

1. Lake Lurleen State Park

13226 Lake Lurleen Rd, Coker, AL 35452

(205) 339-1558

This is one of those spots our family keeps coming back to.  With swimming, hiking, fishing, biking, canoeing, and so much more there is something for everyone to enjoy.  For more information:

The Library is an all time favorite because of all the free activities and programs they offer children.  When you visit the Tuscaloosa Public Library, take time to visit the children's department, and sign up for the Summer Reading Program.  Look for your favorite book or a new favorite.  The team at TPL has been on a mission to make the library accessible for all during the Covid-19 pandemic, and they have done a fantastic job keeping patrons and staff safe.
